HRWF (11.06.2012) – The “Université Paris Descartes” proposes a new unique course about “sectarian processes “. This course is for professionals who may be in contact with victims of “sects”: gendarmes, medical doctors, psychologists, association leaders. Rate for the course is between 1000 EUR and 1550 EUR. Unsurprisingly, there were only 7 candidates for the first intake.
The architect of this initiative, which started in December 2011 on request of MIVILUDES (Interministerial Mission for Monitoring and Fighting against Sects), is Sonya Jougla whose husband Jean-Pierre Jougla is a member of the board of directors of the anti-sect movement ADFI (Association for the Defense of the Families and the Individual).
This course which was created by the department of medical ethics of the “Université Paris Descartes” is led by Christian Hervé. It is composed of eight modules which last for three days each (total amount of 148 hours) and ends with a written test and the defence of a thesis. According to ADFI, the objective of the course is also to set up a network of interlocutors in the entire territory of France.
