A meeting on the persecution of Falun Gong and organ harvesting held before the United Nations human rights review was held at the Palais des Nations (continued 1)

The Coordination of associations and individuals for Freedom of Conscience (CAP LC in French), a non-governmental organization with consultative status with the United Nations , together with Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting ( DAFOH ), held a meeting in On January 22, the day before the fourth round of the Universal Periodic Review ( UPR ) of China’s human rights by the United Nations Human Rights Council, a message titled “China’s Deprivation of Universal Human Rights ” was held at the United Nations Palais des Nations. Meeting.

DAFOH calls for the establishment of an international criminal tribunal to target the CCP’s crimes of forced organ harvesting

Harold King, deputy director of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting ( DAFOH ), used data to illustrate in his speech: Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted throughout China; from 1999 to 2006 , the number of transplant centers increased from 150 to more than 600; from 2000 to 2006, the annual number of transplants increased exponentially by 250%; the waiting time for an organ transplant in China is extremely short, only 15 days to 1 month , in sharp contrast to other European and American countries where one has to wait months to years for an organ.

Harold also showed other official data from the Chinese Communist Party. Among them, 375,000 people registered for organ donation in China in 2017, and the actual number of organ transplants completed was 5,146. The ratio of the number of transplants to the number of donors was 0.014; while the ratio of the number of organ transplants to the number of donors in the United States and the United Kingdom in 2019 It’s only 0.00007. This reflects that China’s utilization of donated organs is 200 times that of other countries. Harold said that by analyzing 17 years of data from different groups, the following conclusions can be drawn:

1. There are huge differences in the number of organ transplants and organ supply in China ;

2. Forced organ harvesting from living people has occurred in China and continues unabated;

3. The main victims of forced organ harvesting are prisoners of conscience, including a large number of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners;

4. According to research and various academic articles, forced organ harvesting is a method used by the Chinese Communist Party to eliminate Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale.

Harold went on to introduce that in view of the persecution and forced organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners , as well as the silence and inaction of the international community on this persecution and extermination, the “Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting ” organization published an open letter in the Epoch Times on January 17. , urging UN member states to bravely raise questions about China’s human rights record during the universal periodic review ; and proposed the establishment of a special rapporteur on China’s organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience to provide an objective investigation for the UN Human Rights Council and any government Results and additional information; and calls for the establishment of an international criminal tribunal to target forced organ harvesting in China . The open letter has received support from 110 members of Congress, professors, doctors, and journalists from around the world.

Harold concluded: “As the international community convenes in Geneva for the 2024 Universal Periodic Review , it also provides a major opportunity to assert this unshakable fact – that no country is exempt from human rights principles. No government can override human dignity. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the cornerstone of global ethics, emphasizing the inviolability of human life and the security of the individual. These principles are not just political stances, they are inherent to every citizen of the world , deserve basic rights.

“China’s actions reflect a disturbing ideology that ‘a perfect world requires the elimination of dissenting voices.’ This is completely antithetical to human rights principles, which advocate the application of truthfulness, compassion , and tolerance as practiced by Falun Gong. ) values to achieve coexistence and mutual understanding.

“After the Chinese Communist Party has continued to harvest organs from Falun Gong practitioners for more than two decades, we have to admit a cruel reality: as an international community, we have failed to prevent this crime against humanity and callous genocide.”

Harold pointed out at the end of his speech that this matter is closely related to everyone in the world:

” A firm stance against acts such as forced organ harvesting and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is not only a test of political will, but also a moral requirement to safeguard human dignity and universal rights.

” Calling for an immediate end to forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is not only an appeal for their right to life, but also an appeal for our right to learn and understand their practice of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

“Therefore, we call on the United Nations member states to bravely raise questions about China’s human rights record during the universal periodic review . We propose the establishment of a special rapporteur on the organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience in China. International Criminal Tribunal for Organs .”

DAFOH founder: China is turning people around the world into accomplices in crimes against humanity

Torsten Trey, MD, founder and director of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting , said in a video speech: The Chinese Communist regime has seriously violated human rights in the history of our civilization, and no other government in the past can match it. Comparable human and economic resources, technological and biological advances, networks, satellites, and global media can all be exploited to cover up crimes while violating human rights.

He also said the following in his speech:

The Chinese Communist regime took more than a billion people hostage to build its foundation. This allows it to hold dozens of UN member states hostage through the complex Belt and Road Initiative . Medium-term loans can only affect individuals, and the CCP uses the “One Belt, One Road” initiative to strictly control all countries that are tethered. Even free market countries that are not tethered are voluntarily tied to the CCP through economic and trade. Through these means, the CCP has accumulated control over the world, emboldened the one-party state, and consolidated its power by persecuting different minority groups, such as Tibetans, Christians, Uyghurs, and Falun Gong practitioners. These periodic persecutions were also a means of controlling other Chinese people. The Chinese proverb “kill the chicken to scare the monkey” illustrates this scenario.

One of the most brutal human rights violations is organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, which has been known to the international community for 17 years. However, this topic has been muted and barely mentioned in past rounds of the Universal Periodic Review of human rights in China . It’s tempting to say that this concept of controlling government (through Belt and Road, etc.) has paid off for China.

The main victims of forced organ harvesting are Falun Gong practitioners . They just want to live according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, but they are banned, excluded, tortured, exploited through forced labor, and may even be killed for their organs.

We’ve seen other dictatorships exterminate millions of people in the past, and China has added the concept of profiteering from the victims to their deplorable massacres, and the organs are being sold to transplant facilities, and is thus destroying the world. People everywhere have become accomplices in crimes against humanity. However, in doing these things that violate human rights and make huge profits, China even demands to be recognized by the international community and play a role on the world stage. When have perpetrators of human rights abuses on this scale ever asked to be part of the international community?

Toston then recounted some of the actions of the Chinese Communist Party in the world, saying that the Chinese Communist Party, involved in these crises around the world, “has become the largest human rights violator today.”

Thorston Trey finally said: “Seventeen years ago, I heard about harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Independent investigations and studies have accumulated a large amount of credible evidence. Every year I think about this question, what kind of A government that kills its own people for organs? Every year I wonder, if a government could harvest organs from living people, what would it do next? If we don’t speak out and stop China’s actions now, , maybe one day in the future we will wake up and realize that the human rights we cherish so much have disappeared.”
