CAP Liberté de Conscience April 2026

CAP Liberté de Conscience responds to UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/80/200 (adopted 18 December 2025), which mandates enhanced protection for persons belonging to religious minorities facing persecution. Our report, “From Stigmatization to Violence: The Role of Media in the Persecution of Religious Minorities,” addresses a critical gap in UN analysis: how media systems function as systemic vectors of religious persecution.
Drawing on the Public Health Approach to Violence Prevention, the report examines three distinct contexts—France’s MIVILUDES institutional framework, Pakistan’s persecution of Ahmadi Muslims, and global streaming platforms (Netflix, HBO)—to demonstrate how media operates across institutional, state-controlled, and digital environments.
